I love when my fabulous wife makes these pecans! The whole house smells amazing!2 T unsalted butter 4 tsp. grated orange peel 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ground coriander 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 2 C. pecan halves 2 T sugar
1 tsp. salt
Melt butter in heavy medium saucepan over low heat. Add orange peel, cinnamon, coriander, cloves and cayenne. Stir and cook until aromatic, about 1 minute. Add pecans, then sugar and salt, and stir to coat pecans evenly. Transfer nut mixture to baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until nuts are toasted. Let cool before serving. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
